Conditions Requiring Urgent Care Our fully equipped veterinary practice provides urgent care services for conditions that shouldn’t wait for the next regular appointment opening. Most urgent care cases can be seen on the same day that you call. Common reasons you may seek urgent care for your furry pal include:

  • Persistent vomiting or diarrhea
  • Cuts, bites, abscesses, torn nails, and other wounds
  • Limping or joint pain
  • Ear infections
  • Eye redness, discharge, swelling, or vision changes
  • Allergic reactions
  • Straining to urinate, frequent urination, or blood in the urine

Every urgent care visit begins with a thorough physical exam, followed by any necessary diagnostic testing and a personalized treatment plan based on your pet’s specific needs. While we’re equipped to manage most urgent medical situations, there are times when a critical or life-threatening emergency may require more advanced resources. In those cases, we’ll either refer you to a nearby specialty hospital or recommend heading directly to an emergency facility to ensure your pet receives the highest level of care.

If you think your pet may need urgent medical attention, please call us before coming in. Our experienced team can help determine whether our clinic is the right place for your pet’s needs and provide guidance on how to safely bring them in—especially if they’re injured or not feeling well. If you suspect your pet has consumed something toxic, we recommend contacting the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center first to consult with a toxicology expert before seeking in-person care.
